The Role
Our client is seeking a bright, talented, and motivated individual to manage the Model Development team, which supports the development and oversight of actuarial models, methodologies and assumptions.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of traditional reinsurance transactions, as well as complex and innovative reinsurance solutions (e.g., longevity swaps / swap options, VIF securitisations, mass lapse covers etc.).
This is a high visibility role within the company and the wider group
You will:

Support the review and update of actuarial assumptions.

Support the review and development of relevant actuarial methodologies and techniques.

Support the Actuarial Function review and challenge of new business propositions.

Draft accurate, clear, and concise documentation.

Contribute to the design, development, and planning for the implementation of Group projects.

Keep up to date with emerging experience and best practice.
You will have:

An actuarial qualification with 5+ years in a life insurance or life reinsurance environment.

An assertive and self-motivated personality.

An enthusiastic approach to work with a strong work ethic and a keen appetite to learn and develop.

Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

An ability to plan work, manage time effectively and deal with changing requirements.

Competent user of MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.

Experience of financial reporting, Prophet (or comparable actuarial modelling package) and SQL.
