Our Client currently has opportunities for part-qualified to senior qualified Actuaries (Life and Non-Life) to join their Actuarial, Rewards & Analytics team.  The purpose of these roles is to provide actuarial advisory services to (re)insurance organisations, banks and clients operating in other industries.

As a key member of Our Client's expanding ARA team, you will apply your skills within and beyond traditional actuarial boundaries.

About the Opportunity

  • Working and managing a broad range of assignments including:

  • Regulatory preparedness and development projects including IFRS17 and IFRS9

  • Reserving under various domestic and international reporting bases

  • Risk management

  • Cashflow, risk and capital modelling

  • Head of Actuarial Function & actuarial function roles

  • M&A due diligence

  • Actuarial Audit, peer review of a variety of (re)insurance companies

  • Analytics

  • Managing client relationships and acting as liaison with clients on project planning, budgeting and resolving issues

  • Contributing to the growth of the practice by networking internally and externally, and playing a significant part in new business proposals and presentations

About You

  • 2 years + life or non-life (re)insurance experience (including looking for significant post-qualification experience for Management roles)

  • For the part-qualified role, you should be currently studying for the actuarial exams, with an expectation to qualify within 3 years.

  • Excellent analytical skills and problem solving ability.

There are multiple roles but experience in any of the following fields would be advantageous:

  • Audit

  • Solvency II

  • Emerging regulations (e.g. IFRS9 or IFRS17)

  • Financial reporting

  • Credit risk modelling

  • Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative and manage time effectively.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Proficiency in computer languages including Prophet, MoSes, Igloo, ResQ, CROS, SAS, SQL or R would be an advantage.
